Her research career has been developed in the area of Materials Science and Engineering, linked to the synthesis, processing and characterization of materials, mainly in Powder Metallurgy, Mechanical Alloying and Metal Matrix Composite Materials, Aluminum, Titanium and Intermetallic Alloys and their characterization.
With more than 20 years and 2000 hours of teaching in 23 different undergraduate and graduate courses. Several times awarded and among the top 10% of the academic ranking of the UC3M. She has also supervised more than 150 Bachelor and Master Thesis and 6 Doctoral Theses (plus 4 in progress).
With more than 80 contributions in international journals, co-author of more than 90 contributions in international conferences, and participation in more than 50 research projects with financial support from the European Union and the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation.
Also thanks to the 10 stays and collaborations with international researchers from other universities and research centers of recognized prestige such as K.U Leuven, or the University of Michigan, or as the stay made at Loughborough University in 2016 under the Salvador Madariaga Program
